Verizon, in partnership with Novatel Wireless, has launched the 4G LTE Broadband Router with Voice that allows for data and voice connectivity over its 4G LTE wireless network.
“We are thrilled to roll out our first 4G LTE converged voice and data solution for in-home and small office connectivity with Verizon. The 4G LTE Broadband Router with Voice is a versatile solution delivering both data connectivity and voice capabilities in one powerful portable package. We believe this new device will address the changing needs of Verizon’s customers,” says Peter Leparulo, CEO of Novatel Wireless.
The MiFi Powered 4G LTE Broadband Router with Voice comes with built-in WiFi connectivity, three Ethernet ports, a landline jack which can also be used to port your home phone number to the router itself, and requires only a power source to get started, making it easy to plug in and get connected at home or remotely.
Travelers or vacationers who need a connection to surf the Internet can connect to the nation’s largest 4G LTE network using the router. Voice capabilities on the router mean travelers or vacationers can bring their home number with them on their journeys. With this capability, the broadband router has eliminates the need to constantly search for Wi-Fi hotspots in cafes or paying hotel Wi-Fi or phone fees.
The router is available now, and naturally, it’s tethered to Verizon’s data plans. Verizon customers can choose from three plans: Voice-only, Data-only, or Voice and Data bundle. Once signed up, customers can switch between plans freely for whatever their situation requires.
For a limited time promotion, the Verizon 4G LTE Broadband Router with Voice will be available for free with a new two year customer agreement when customers select the voice and data plan.
