India’s leading GSM service provider, Bharti Airtel today announced it will offer LTE services on smartphones starting from Bangalore, where it already offered LTE services via USB dongles and Wi-Fi base stations. This will ensure that if one has a compatible smartphone with TD-LTE support in band 40, Airtel subscribers would get 4G connectivity on their phones and also make and receive calls and text messages.

Telecom major Bharti Airtel is offering Do-It-Yourself (DIY) e-commerce solution provider Shopify’s services to its SOHO and SME customers by provisioning the service through its cloud platform.
As stated in Bharti Aitel Twitter account, Bengaluru customers can use the Airtel 4G services on LTE enabled smartphones in 3 weeks.
To provide voice calling facility over its 4G LTE networks in the country, the telco has adopted Circuit Switched Fall Back(CSFB) technology which when deployed within the newtork, the telco would be able to offer voice to its LTE subscribers through its 3G and even 2G network.
