No Shortcuts in Australia’s National Broadband Network, Say Analysts

Analysts say the Australia’s National Broadband Network (NBN) plan is critical to ensuring faster broadband speeds into the future, as Australia falls behind countries like South Korea and the US. The analysts fear that under changes being considered by the new Coalition government, Australian tax payers may end up paying more to get what they will ultimately need.

The slower take-up will leave Australia struggling to compete in the wake of countries with faster, more advanced and more accessible internet services.
