Orange Romania announced on Wednesday that it has expanded its fourth generation (4G) telecommunications network coverage to the entire capital of Bucharest. Previously, 4G services were available only in the center and north of the city.
“Starting this fall, all Orange customers, subscribers or PrePay card users have access to the internet at 4G speeds, so the tariff plans are compatible and the dedicated options. The Orange PrePay customers are the first prepaid users in Romania can surf the Internet at 4G speeds,” says the press release sent by the mobile operator.
Currently, Orange has 4G coverage in Bucharest metropolitan area north of the city, and mountain resorts in the Prahova Valley, which provides Internet service at speeds up to 75 Mbps downlink and 37.5 Mbps uplink . 4G is the latest mobile data technology, high-performance and fast access to the Internet. It offers data transfer speeds up to 100 Mbps download and up to 50 Mbps for upload, up to 10 times faster than 3G technology.
