UK Broadband Coverage Is Above EU Average, Report Reveals

A new report from the European Commission suggests UK broadband coverage is above the European Union (EU) average.

At the end of 2012, the UK had 99.6 per cent DSL coverage – meaning the overwhelming majority of businesses and households have access to copper-based broadband services.

Across the 27 states that were EU members in 2012 , this figure was 92.9 per cent – suggesting there are more fixed broadband ‘not-spots’ in other parts of the continent.
